Golden Boy https://voicethread.com/share/5666603/

When I first started the voice thread process I was apprehensive. I've never liked recording my voice and this was a completely new experience for me. However, googling a bit and watching the tutorials that were offered I felt more comfortable. I realized that making the voice thread was a lot easier than I thought it would be and it was kind of fun trying to make different voices to go with my characters. I also found out that my computer has a built in microphone which was really helpful during the entire process. I liked that the voice thread allowed me to hear what I recorded before I saved it, but wished that instead of completely re-recording an entire section of my story I could just delete the part I messed up on and edited it back in.

This will be great to use in my future classroom. I could imagine students being really excited about being able to record their voices for a story they made. This could also be a different way for students to keep a math or science journal at home or school. However, one draw back I see is that not all students would have access to this type of technology at home. I as a teacher would need to make sure that if I assigned a voice thread as an at home assignment those students who didn't have access were allotted time to complete the assignment at school.
